PSi is a professional association founded in 1997 to promote
communication and exchange among scholars and practitioners working
in the field of performance. We seek to create opportunities for
dialogue among artists, thinkers, activists and academics.
PSi is actively committed to creating a membership base of artists
and scholars throughout the world. We recognize that while performance
studies as a field encourages conversations across disciplinary
boundaries, professionals in various parts of the world often
need greater opportunities to exchange research and information
about performance with others who share their interests and expertise.
PSi is a network of exchange for scholars and practitioners working
in diverse locations, both disciplinary and geographic. We act
as a crucible for new ideas and forms in performance discourse
and practice, often testing the relation between the two. As a
professional organization, PSi is committed to encouraging the
development of both emerging and established artists and scholars.
