Bard College Berlin, A Liberal Arts University invites applications for a
Professor of Art
Bard College Berlin seeks to appoint a Professor (W2) to lead its practicing arts programs (studio arts and performance) and contribute either to these and/or to its related course offerings in aesthetics and art history from January 2017.
Applicants are considered from any field of the practicing arts, curatorial studies, aesthetics, theater/performance/dance studies, or art history with a contemporary focus. Strong candidates will have interdisciplinary interests, with the ability to teach scholarly or studio courses across multiple fields of artistic inquiry. A requirement for all candidates is a record of excellence in teaching. Artists should have a record of artistic practice at international level, a minimum of three years teaching experience, and at least an MA or MFA degree qualification or equivalent. Scholars should hold at least a PhD qualification in a relevant field and have an extensive record of research publication at international level.
