Dear PSi friends and colleagues,
I’m writing to share that, due to a serious health issue, PSi President Pil Hansen will be taking 90% leave into the first half of 2022. In light of this unfortunate news, the PSi Board met recently to organise interim governance arrangements to support Pil’s health and our organisation. After receiving unanimous support from the Board, the PSi Executive – consisting of Jazmin Llana, Jon Reimer and myself – will take on collective responsibility for the running of PSi in the short term.
Jazmin will continue in her role as coordinator of the 2022 conference on Hunger with Jon overseeing finances, and with myself as the main contact for all members and the Board. The PSi Executive has also asked longstanding PSi member Heike Roms to act as Strategic Advisor to the Board and the 2022 conference organising committee.
This temporary organisational model will be formally reviewed at the next Board meeting in February 2022.
