About the Event

An Interconnected Interactive Series

‘What did the line that you last drew, ask you?’ presents a virtual platform for digital exhibition and performance. A team of artistic researchers from three continents present an interconnected, interactive series of virtual worlds that cross creative disciplines from contemporary poetics, performance, choreography, sound composition, gaming and visual art. Contributing artists include alys longley (NZ), pavleheidler (Sweden), Jenny Roche (Ireland), Macarena Campbell Parra and Proyecto Cartón (Chile), Máximo Corvalán-Pincheira (Chile), Kate Stevenson and DotDot Studio (NYC), Francisco González Castro (Chile), Jeffrey Holdaway (NZ).

Organizers

Alys Longley (PhD) is an interdisciplinary artist, writer and teacher, whose work explores mistranslation, working across languages and disciplines to evidence a spill of ideas beyond conventional systems of meaning. Her artistic-research projects shape-shift from writing and performance, artist-book, installation, film, education curriculum, poetry, and lecture-demonstration. Alys is an Professor in the Department of Dance Studies, University of Auckland.
